The Kenmore 417 digital-display front-load washers from 2014 onward, including 417.44130000, list E5D or E5F for a communication failure between the electronic control board and the motor control board. The main board cannot reach the motor controller, so the drive stays off and the washer shows the code. The connection between the two boards is where we begin.
