On older Kenmore HE front-load washers whose model numbers start with 110, a Whirlpool-built platform with the F/xx display, F/dU is a door unlock error: the door will not unlock at the end of the cycle or when requested. The owner sees F/dU and finds the door held shut, sometimes with wet laundry inside. The cause is usually the door lock assembly, though a loose wiring connection can produce the same message.
