What IE means

On Kenmore front-load washers whose model numbers start with 796, an LG-built platform, IE is an inlet water error. The control did not reach the first expected level in eight minutes, or did not reach the final preset level in twenty-five minutes. The Wi-Fi front-load versions report this as a washer that is not filling. Either way, water is not getting in the tub fast enough, so the cycle stops and shows IE.
